Taveuni or the ‘garden island’ of Fiji is to the far east of the main island. Its north-south orientation shields the strait from trade winds and makes it an ideal place to explore. Because we have the whole resort, we have options to mix up our activities and provide dedicated snorkelling support and guides.
During the week we’ll be exploring the appropriately named Rainbow Reefs, as well as delighting in the house reef right in front of the resort (see below – accessed by steps near the dining area and lawn).
The resort also has an in-house spa and massage centre, and a variety of cultural trips that can be organised. It’s situated at the southern end of the island, literally on the edge of the world, thousands of kilometres from the nearest continent. The hospitality is to die for, the food is incredible and the staff are wonderfully welcoming. It is a testament to the amazing work of owners Terri and Allan who have built this place around the local village and culture.
